Placement Information

If you would like to place your Siberian Husky with the Siberian Husky Club & Rescue of Southern New England's Rescue Program you must live within the States of Connecticut or Rhode Island. If you live in abutting states, please refer to the "Rescue Program Overview".

You must do the following:

(1) Fill out the "Surrender Agreement" in its entirety;

(2) Prepare a written description of your Siberian, including any negative behaviors as well as positive attributes (similar to those currently online);

(3) Take two photographs, either digitally or film, of your Siberian Husky (one frontal photo including the chest and face, one side photo showing from the tail to the noise in a standing position).

Submit your package using one of the following methods:

(1) Via regular mail to:  SHCR-SNE Rescue Program
                                      8 The Boulevard

                                      Newtown, CT 06470

(2) Fax same to:  (203) 655-5779

(3) Send via email:  ct-rescue@siberianrescue-sne.org

                                or ri-rescue@siberianrescue-sne.org

                                with items 1, 2 and 3 as attachments.

Do not include same as part of the email text, include them as attachments.

Once we receive the complete package we will call you to set up a convenient time to visit with you and evaluate your Siberian Husky. Please do not call, unless there is an emergency placing your Siberian Husky in a high risk situation (possibility of death or injury).

Older Siberians, those with physical handicaps, and those that are already in the Rescue Program will have first priority for placement. We request that you continue to take care of your Siberian until we find an appropriate, loving family since we do not have an extensive network of "Foster Families" pending permanent adoption.
